“Can hit a Softball further than him”: Aaron Judge was trolled by Jose Canseco, on pace to hit 63 HRs

Aaron Judge and Jose Canseco
Aaron Judge has hit 49 home runs in the 2022 Major League Baseball season so far and he is on pace to hit 62-63 in totality. Judge is chasing the record on Yankee great Roger Maris’ who hit 61 home runs in 1961, his record is also the American League record. But a former Yankee player also known as MLB cheat tried to bring down Aaron Judge.
Jose Canseco wanted to world to know that he could hit a softball farther than Aaron Judge and showcased that the fame that surrounds Aaron Judge is not well-deserved. Jose Canseco is known to be the original face of Major League Baseball’s steroid problem. Despite his attempts, Canseco failed to earn respect from the MLB community and fans because of his involvement with PEDs.
“I bet I can hit a softball further than Aaron judge can hit a baseball and I am 30 years older than he is,” Canseco tweeted. “Aaron judge in batting practice hitting a ball off of the bottom of the Jumbotron so what I [would hit] the top of it with a line drive big whoop,” he added later.

Jose Canseco was roasted for trying to troll Aaron Judge as he stepped into beast-mode

The pace with which Aaron Judge is taking down players, means that he would be one homer every 2.7 team games over the Yankees’ final 35. Here’s how that pacing compares to Maris and Ruth in their 61 and 60-homer seasons, respectively. Likely a bit jealous, Canseco took notice but apparently was unimpressed.
Jose Canseco hit 462 careers homers, but those numbers are roundly ignored due to his PED past. Jealousy does speak volumes at times or probably Jose has no idea what it needs to be the face of a legendary franchise.
Canseco clearly knows his own limits here. He gives himself a softball to hit rather than a baseball. While still difficult to hit very far, it does give him a little bit of an advantage. Aaron Judge hit six home runs in April (played in 20 games), 12 in May (27 games), 11 in June (28 games), 13 in July (25 games) and has seven in August (23 games).
