“No.5 is putting on a show” Albert Pujols astonishes Toronto with old-school power, Twitter reacts ecstatically

On Wednesday, Albert Pujols hit the 686th career home run in the game played between St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays. He is the first baseman and designated hitter for the St Louis Cardinals. The 42-year-old Veteran has earned his name ‘The Machine” over the course of his delightful career.
Albert Pujols received a heart-warming reception when he came to at-bat from the Toronto Blue Jays fans, why? Well, the veteran has accomplished to be a 2-time World Series Champion, an 11 time All- Star, 3-time National League MVP, multiple Silver Slugger awards winner and so much more.
In Wednesday’s game, Albert Pujols hit his 686th home run, which according to ESPN’s SportsCenter, went smashing 439 feet. The said game would probably be the last time Pujols steps onto the diamond at Rogers Center/Sky Dome. Although his home run was of significant importance for the St. Louis Cardinals but the respect and honor Albert Pujols received was indeed mesmerizing.

Albert Pujols becomes the player with 11th most runs in MLB History
Albert Pujols broke two records on Wednesday, he became the oldest player in the MLB History to hit a home run at the Rogers Center/Sky Dome and he surpassed Lou Gehrig for 11th-most runs scored in MLB history. The Cardinals legend did put up a show for the fans to remember.
“That’s what you’re hoping for, is him to step up and be able to carry us at a time when we didn’t have Goldy and Nolan, and he did exactly that,” St Louis Cardinal’s manager Oliver Marmol said. “He knew what was on the line and that we were going to have to depend on him.”

Albert Pujols and Adam Wainwright helped Cardinal’s take a 6-1 victory. “He’s unbelievable,” Wainwright said. Then, he raised his voice and projected it toward his teammate’s locker. “He might be old, but he can still hit.”
Pujols had a laughter-filled response, “Adam did his job, but the top of the lineup did its job also, … It’s always good, any time you can give a little cushion [to the starter] like that.”
