It was a memorable day for the Toronto Blue Jays as they came out victorious against Tampa Bay Rays 7-2. Punjabi Singer AP Dhillon threw the official ceremonial first pitch for them at the Roberts Centre Stadium in Toronto, on Monday night, escorted by the teams mascot Ace.

Born on January 10, 1993, Amritpal Singh Dhillon aka AP Dhillon was born in Gurdaspur, Punjab. The artist is now settled in Canada. With many popular songs such as “Brown Munde”, “Majhali”, “No Excuses” etc. AP Dhilllon has risen to fame. He is now a household name in the US and Canada, having belted out many fast numbers.

“Brown Munde!! Big thanks to the legend -AP Dhillon- for throwing tonight’s first pitch” Toronto Blue Jays wrote on Twitter. AP Dhillon replied by posting on Instagram, congratulating the Blue Jays for their 7-2 win. “Big win for the Jays tonight. Honored to be part of it,” Dhillon said on his Instagram.

Toronto Blue Jays commented on Dhillon’s Instagram post saying “Desi je geet aa, trap ji beat aa, Sirr kadd gakde, speaker’aan ch vajde, Brown Munde.” (Our desi songs, have captivating beats, we hold our head high and roar, the speaker plays, Brown Boys.) He then posted again “Honoured to have you here at the ballpark. Hope to see you again soon,” Dhillon latter commented “This one is for the culture,”
