The Atlanta Braves continue to set new records. The 2021 World Series winners are on a roll at the moment and currently possess the best record in MLB this year. As they continue to stroll on their path to another playoff appearance, they have broken numerous records. On Friday, following their 4-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants, they created another club milestone.

The win over the Giants was their 11,000th victory in MLB history. This dates back to the time when they were one of the founding members of the National League in 1876. In the 147 years of existence, the Braves are now the fifth team in MLB history to cross this huge milestone.

This win was fueled by another dominating performance from the mound by Spencer Strider. The pitcher improved his chances of winning the NL Cy Young Award by striking out ten batters in his seven innings. Another top performer was Michael Harris II who recorded four hits.

Which are the others team to reach the 11,000-win mark?

As mentioned above, the Atlanta Braves are the fifth different side to have reached this historic mark. There are four teams above them who have reached this mark. Apart from this, there are four more teams who have crossed the 10,000-win mark. The question now is which are those teams.

The four teams apart from the Braves are San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, and St. Louis Cardinals. The Giants have the most of them all with 11,445 victories across their name.

Surprisingly, the most successful MLB franchise, the New York Yankees are not on this list. They though are one of the four teams who have achieved more than 10,000 wins. Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Cincinnati Reds complete the list.

The Braves now would be hoping this great run of form helps them in achieving the big prize. A season where they have stood heads and shoulders above all of their opponents while breaking multiple records would go to waste if they do not win the World Series.

Following the series with the Giants, they will face the NY Mets again. In their latest outing, they outscored them 40-10, winning three games and losing one by a score of 7-6.
