“He’s stabilized center field”: Brian Snitker applauds Michael Harris II, sending an unsmiling message to the front office

Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker feels that Michael Harris II has proved to be their safety net as the challenge the New York Mets for their National League east thrown. The Braves did successfully achieve glory last season and are going about in the same fashion this season. Although Brian Snitker’s team had a lot to offer last season, they lost their best hitter to free agency last Winter.

Now that Freddie Freeman is gone, Michael Harris II, Matt Olson and more are there to upkeep the team and they are beautiful. Michael Harris II is slashing .283/.319/.497 in 48 games so far this season. He is included in the everyday starting line-up for the Atlanta Braves with results into Atlanta’s run to the top of the Wild Card standings.

Brian Snitker expressed how according to him Michael Harris II has taken over as the star plug of the team. He had plenty high praises for Harris at the All-Star Game, as per FanSided MLB insider Robert Murray.

“He’s come in and we have all been really impressed with him in spring training the last two years,” Brian Snitker said. “He can do things that I didn’t realize he could do. I didn’t realize how gifted he was defensively. … I asked him about a throw the other day in Washington and he was like ‘I don’t know, I just made a throw.’ It’s what he does.”

Brian Snitker seems to be very impressed by Michael Harris II, “He’s solidified that position,” Snitker said. “He’s stabilized center field.”

Snitker is also highly impressed by Braves’ young core as a whole. Atlanta features several young pieces all under the age of 30, and by a wide margin. Alex Anthopoulos hasn’t just made his team younger; they are also built to win now. That is truly something we rarely see in modern sports.

“This team is set up to win for a while. It’s win-mode now. When that window is open, you never know how quickly it can close.” Message sent to the front office by manager.
