Phillies vs Angles’ most recent showdown had a unique mix, leading the former team to a fairy-tale ending, when an eight innings, game-tying Bryce Harper slam is not the biggest home run for his team, you know that the limelight and headlines are fetched another incoming megastar, which was none other than Harper’s ‘best-friend’ Bryson Scott.
To those who missed the dramatical showdown, Rob Thomson’s team were down 4 runs and their final outs, when Harper dished out a dramatic salami into the second deck in the right field off of Raisel Iglesias. This was followed by Knebel allowing an easy run in the ninth. Given the opportunity, Bryson Stott stepped up on the plate to make his mark, the charismatic rookie walked it off with a two-out, three home-runner. Making his long-time friend Harper fall in love with him, all over again.
To bring everyone on the same page, Harper and Stott have a 5-year age gap between them but they grew up together in Las Vegas wherein their families have had a longstanding relationship with one another. Ironically, the 24-year-old still lives with Bryce Harper during his Spring training.

Bryce Harper appreciates worthy effort of Bryson Stott
“What a great series we just had,” Harper said as quoted by NBCSports. “I’m so happy for the kid, man. What an at-bat, what a situation for him. Being able to really put our trust in our young guys the last couple days and really let them just play, it’s been great.”
Bryce then went on to emphasize what he felt when his legit ‘best friend’ has gone on to make a name for himself with the pressure being ever so high.

“It’s pretty cool seeing one of your best friends get an opportunity to come up and do that and legit being one of your best friends. He’s part of that inner circle that I call friends, hang out on Saturdays and Sundays watching football.”
That being said, the rookie is gradually starting to cement his place on the plate after a very slow start. Mentioning the precise stats, Thomson has managed to register a 3-0 run being the interim manager as his Phillies offence rose from the dead this weekend with 26 runs, along with 7 homers, 15 extra-base hits and 45 base-runners. Two of the homers belonged to rookie and hero Bryson Stott, also both the three-run shots.
