“I just feel stupid” Carlos Rodon shamefaced after displaying annoyance, twitter criticizes the hot-headed player

Carlos Rodon
Carlos Rodon and the San Fransisco Giants have been going through a tough month when it comes to their 2022 season. The season has shown their team’s mediocrity, currently sitting with a perfectly middling 48-48 record, a whopping 16.5 games behind the Dodgers for first place in the National League West. For those reasons, the recent tantrum by Rodon was not appreciated.
Carlos Rodon seemed extremely frustrated after the fifth inning in the 7-3 loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks, walking down the dugout, he saw a bat right in front of him and kicked it, little did he know the bat hit shortstop Thairo Estrada in the knee and he went down agonizing and holding his knee.
Clearly to be seen on camera, teammates, including infielder Wilmer Flores, weren’t cheerful with Carlos Rodon’s display.
“Unacceptable action,” Rodon said after the game. “I hit my teammate, the nicest teammate on the team. Just a selfish action, and it just cannot happen. Stupid.”

Manager Gabe Kapler had a chat with Carlos Rodon following the game to inform him that such reactions have no place during the time the team is facing. “These are his teammates, and if he’s not able to maintain control in those situations, somebody can get hurt,” Gabe Kapler said postgame. “He knows it. We’re working on it. We’re going to work on ways for him to be in control in those situations.”
“When teammates and coaches are at risk, it just can’t happen,” Kapler said. “We discussed it, we’re going to work through it and we’re going to support him through it. And as I mentioned, he’s fully accountable and understands that it can’t happen.”
Carlos Rodon later mentioned that he was dull-witted enough that he “held onto the frustration” from the bashing he received in the form of home runs. “Angry with myself and made a selfish action and kicked a bat that had no reason to be kicked,”
Carlos Rodon said,“The bat didn’t do nothing, Thairo didn’t do nothing. If anything, I should be hitting myself. Stupid.”
