The actions that took center stage last night have given worrying signs to the MLB. The Police are still uncertain about where the bullets were fired in the first place. This has led to several questions being raised on the safety and security measures at ballparks and other outdoor places across the United States. The White Sox later issued a statement regarding the incident.

Two fans attending Friday’s game suffered non-life threatening injuries after being struck by bullets. It is unclear to investigators whether the shots were fired from outside or inside the ballpark,” the statement read. It further mentioned how the case is still being probed by experts from the Chicago PD. “The White Sox are thinking of the victims at this time and wishing them a speedy recovery,” the statement concluded.

This horrific incident comes at a time when the White Sox are going through one of their worst seasons. They have lost two games in a row and could get swept by the Oakland Athletics if they fail to win on Saturday.

Recently the team was blasted by former players and experts. White Sox talk podcast crew member Scott Podsednik claimed that the team has no standard set and should be held accountable. This came after the surprising comment from Eloy Jimenez where he replied “Not really” on being asked if there are players who could become leaders in the clubhouse.
