Recently, Cody Bellinger’s young super fan was looking to get a ball from his idol in the Citizens Bank Park bleachers. However, things went a bit awry for the youngster, who did not manage to catch the ball.

The young fan had been calling out Bellinger’s name for almost the entire game, and was delighted when the MLB Star looked to him and threw a ball for him to catch. Unfortunately it over shot the 10-year-olds mitt by a few inches and fell into the bleachers behind him. Scrambling to get the ball, the young boy started searching for it. However, as seen in the video, the ball was taken by an adult- a Dodgers fan- who blatantly took the ball meant for the young boy, and refused to give it back.

The young boy was visibly disappointed after the adult walked away with the ball. The adult who took the ball was severely criticised by people on social media, saying that it was not right for the man to steal a ball that was meant for the little child. While the boy might have missed the ball because he was still learning the ball was meant to be passed to him, and not the man.

However, the young Cody Bellinger fan was not distraught for long and said that he would continue to improve his skills so that he would be able to catch the ball next time instead. He thanked Bellinger for throwing the ball, considering he had not done so for the entire night. The boy received several kind messages on social media, as he said that he would also follow his passion and play in the little league series next week.
