Former MLB superstar Alex Rodriguez has time and again popped up in internet searches regarding controversies surrounding the legend. Nicknamed “A-Rod”, the ex-baseball star spend two decades in the Majors, claiming various honors. He has been a bigger-than-life star, having the media’s attention over his numerous on-off field scandals.
One of the things that have kept A-Rod in the spotlight despite retiring years ago is his private love life following his divorce from his then-wife Cynthia Scurtis. At the moment he is dating Jaclyn Cordeiro. Perhaps this could be the one with whom he finally settles down after his engagement with J-Lo was called off.
Speaking of settling down, A-Rod was actually married before. It’s his divorce from then-wife Cynthia Scurtis that started this long list of life partners. The couple was happily married. They even had two daughters together. They first met at a Miami Gym and tied the knot in 2002. Six years later, just after the birth of their second child, things started to crash between the two.
Cynthia filed a divorce over “emotional abandonment” and an extra-marital affair after the news of A-Rod dating pop star Madonna started to resurface. She once believed that A-Rod was “brainwashed” by Madonna. As of 2023, he has dated several big names including the likes of Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz, and Jennifer Lopez.

The story of Madonna and Alex Rodriguez
Soon after the divorce, the news of Alex Rodriguez dating Madonna started to circulate. Cynthia believed that Madonna introducing the Kabbalah faith to Rodriguez was the end point of their relationship. “I feel like Madonna is using mind control over him,” Cynthia quoted. At the same time, Madonna’s relationship with Guy Ritchie was on the rocks.
Madonna in her response kept denying any romantic involvement with A-Rod. He started spending time with her in November 2007. The duo never confirmed their relationship. Having the same manager Guy Oseary did not help as well as rumours of him being linked with their meeting came up. In 2008, A-Rod addressed the situation as just being friends.
A-Rod would then go on to date Hollywood actress Kate Hudson. The duo dated for seven months. Her involvement in the Yankees game started to get attention which A-Rod wanted to avoid and the couple called it quits in 2009. A-Rod would later date another actress Cameron Diaz. The length of his relationship with Diaz is unclear but they were together between 2010 and 2011.
A-Rod’s love life finally seemed to be on the right track after he announced his engagement with Hollywood actress and singer Jennifer Lopez. The duo announced this decision in 2019 after two years of dating. However in 2021, the couple decided to end their relationship and call off their engagement. J-Lo would go on to marry her old flame, Ben Affleck while A-Rod stayed single for the time being. Will A-Rod ever settle down? Only he can answer that.
