“It’s Complicated”: David Cone and Taja Abitbol separate, struck out on their romance

The New York Yankee star David Cone separates from his long-time love and wife Taja Abitbol have decided to go their respective ways after being together for more than 10 years. The 59-year-old Yankee star and his 50-year-old partner Taja were rumored to be having a complicated love life since a couple of years.
David Cone has said to be undergoing a hip replacement Monday morning and was unable to comment on the news shared by Taja Abitbol in her interview for Page Six. Abitbol did not appear to be by his side for the surgery. Although the divorce looked forthcoming, sources have revealed that, despite the split, Cone has been “extremely generous with [Abitbol] financially”.
David Cone has spent millions on her, bought her homes and helped support her, the information was disclosed after the news of the separation. Taja Abitbol claimed that since Covid-19 took upon the world with its horror, their relationship also shadowed behind that horror.

Abitbol has been living in Florida with their 10-year-old son, Sammy, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic while the athlete resides in New York. Taja Told Page Six, “We don’t know [what we are]. It’s rough with the travel situation. He’s always on the road. During baseball season it’s hard for us, and sometimes in the off-season it’s not hard for us,” she explains. “It’s complicated.”
Abitbol described her and David Cone’s as “long time engages”, She has already been under speculation for setting a fire in a bid to appear on “The Real Housewives of New York City” in her apartment. Meanwhile, she even believed that her neighbor (the person suing her for the fire) did what he did because Abitbol is David Cone’s partner.

“This guy is looking to sue me because David is a New York legend — he doesn’t deserve this, the poor guy,” she told The Post.
The truth behind the story would be revealed soon once David Cone shares his thoughts with the media. Certainly, at the moment the Yankee Star must have his focus on the hip replacement but even that did not stop Taja Abitbol from spilling out the news via Page Six.
