Alex Rodriguez played in the MLB for 22 seasons and has amassed a plethora of awards and records to his name. A few of his accolades include winning the 2009 World Series, 14x All-Star, 3x AL MVP, 10x Silver Slugger Award, 2x Gold Glove Award, 4x AL Hank Aaron Award, and the 1996 MLB batting champion.

A-Rod also has a .295 batting average along with 3,115 hits and 696 home runs. Despite such a decorated resume, Alex Rodriguez hasn’t been considered for the Hall of Fame because of his history with doping.

The Yankees legend has admitted to being a part of the Biogenesis scandal in which a lab provided athletes with banned PEDs. He was suspended initially suspended for 211 games but later it was brought down and he eventually had to sit out the entire 2014 season. Not only this, but A-Rod was also doping during his stint with the Texas Rangers from 2001 to 2003.

Despite being a slam dunk for Hall of Fame selection, his long-standing history with the use of steroids is the main reason why Alex Rodriguez isn’t in the Hall of Fame.
