“Manning in house”: Denver Broncos stars Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson take batting practice at Coors Field
Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson
Denver Broncos have seen some legendary quarterbacks representing them on the pitch, two of which are alum Peyton Manning and sensation, Russell Wilson. The two spoken-off stars took batting practice right before the Rockies’ series finale at Coors Field. Both these champs were reportedly filming an episode of Peyton Manning’s Peyton Places. To those who don’t know, it is a travel series being filmed on ESPN+.
Peyton Manning famously led the Broncos to an inexplicable win in Super Bowl 50, and has even shared a quarterback room with Todd Helton. After the latter’s footballing career took a major hit, he surely had baseball backing him up. Talking precisely about the stats, Helton holds Colorado Rockies’ records for 2,519 hits, 369 home runs, 1,406 RBI, 1334 walks and more than 2,240 showdowns played over the course of 17 seasons on the highest level.
On the other hand, talking about Russell Wilson, he was drafted by the Rockies, a team in desperate need in the current 2022 season, in 2010 spent a couple of seasons as a second baseman with the Rockies, before he decided to switch careers as an NFL quarterback.

Peyton Manning once again steps onto the pitch for upcoming episode of Peyton Places
Revealing the same moment on Twitter, the Colorado Rockies shared a snap wherein fans can see the QB duo getting ready to light up the stage on Coors Field. Wilson also shared a short clip on Twitter. Being a former MLB star, Russell Wilson connected the ball so well. He captioned the tweet, “Moon Balls. To Coca-Cola and back.”
Manager Bud Black even had a verbal portion in the upcoming episode of Peyton Manning‘s, Peyton Places. To those who are not aware, Black picks up the bullpen phone and calls on another quarterback John Elway. “It’s fun,” Bud Black said. “It just brings a little different kind of energy in the morning. And I think those two guys were having fun with it. I think all athletes enjoy the crossover.”

Bud Black even went on to appreciate and discuss the performance of Peyton Manning and Wilson whilst shooting the clips of an episode. “It’s a real swing,” Bud Black said. “He’s a real athlete. You can see why he was a two-way athlete and potentially a Major League player. I’ve had some scouts and some people that felt he would’ve been a Major League player. To what extent his career would’ve unfolded, you don’t know. But many scouts thought he was headed to being a Major League player.”
