Sports are one thing that gets the fan’s adrenaline running over. The thrill of victory and the low of defeat can easily affect someone’s mood. The important aspect of it is to remain calm and try to control yourself despite the outcome. However, an unpleasant sight was recorded on Tuesday night when a fan was knocked outside the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
The incident is reported to have taken place after a huge brawl broke out between several spectators. This took place after the Los Angeles Dodgers lost 5-1 at home to the Minnesota Twins. A video of the incident is making rounds on social media, showing off the massive pushing and pulling between people. According to Fox News, a witness informed the whole drama kicked off after a group started pushing others.
The viral video is now raising concerns regarding the safety of fans. Many have also raised eyebrows on why nobody tried to intervene to stop this fight. As per the witness, the duo started pushing and grabbing each other. This soon escalated in a fight. A few moments, lights were knocked off for one guy who succumbed down and fell unconscious.
In the video, a man can be seen getting involved in the brawl before he started hitting a fan in a Clayton Kershaw jersey. The man would fall down on the ground and show no signs of movement. This resulted in another person rushing towards him to check his status.
Viral video raises questions of public safety in ballparks
According to the LAPD, no information regarding the incident has been discovered so far. When the police arrived at the crime scene, the fan who was knocked out was nowhere to be in sight. As of now, both the attacker and the receiver are not facing legal charges or actions against them. This is not the first time such an incident has been recorded at the Dodger Stadium in this ongoing season.
The question of public safety and police responsibility has now taken a hit. In April, another video went viral on social media revolving around the Dodger Stadium. In their 5-2 victory over the Rockies, security staff inside the stadium were captured, attempting to break multiple fights in the stands. For this incident, the police are said to have detained at least two individuals.
Meanwhile this week, a strange video of a man hitting a women also surfaced. This is said to have taken place during the match-up between the Angels and the Guardians. The team on the other hand has chosen to stay silent and has offered no comments regarding the matter. Will the MLB organization come up with some rules and regulations to prevent any such future incidents, remains to be seen.
