While Los Angeles Dodgers and their fanbase are going all out to signify their love for Washington Nationals star Juan Soto, it seems like they might have got an underage star in the form of their Ball Girl, who eventually became their 10th defender against the Giants on Sunday. The same ball girl, named Kaitlin eventually stole all the limelight when she unknowingly fielded a Yermin Mercedes ground ball.

Kaitlin, the Ball Girl for Blues decided to throw the balls in the stand and her reaction after knowing that she had interfered with play went viral on the internet, with MLB Fans having enough content to opinionate on the matter. As the ball passed the Dodgers’ Max Muncy on the third base foul line, Dodgers’ Kaitlin positioned herself, fielded the ball. She eventually gave Mercedes a ground rule double.

Kaitlin went onto throw the ball into the stands and quietly sat back in her seat, waiting for the next foul ball. Later on she was informed that Yermin Mercedes’ hit was deemed as a fair ball, resulting in Kaitlin having a moment of confusion. That being said, with the free double, the San Francisco Giants loaded up the bases yet failed to score.

With the moment of misery coming for the Dodgers’ Ball Girl, many requested teams to turn their attention towards Kaitlin, rather than chasing Juan Soto of Washington Nationals. But jokes apart, it is hard to understand which ball is called a foul, with the modern-day rules taking over.
