“Not Gallo 13” Diehard Yankee fanatics who don’t fancy Joey Gallo as Yankee No. 13

Joey Gallo

Joey Gallo is at the end of high criticism as he is unable to perform up to his name, batting .161, owns an OPS of .629, hit 12 home runs, knocked in 24 runs, and struck out 103 times through 80 games. Fans will not be supportive if your manager trusts you to inexplicably put you in the game to replace Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the eighth-inning, only to watch you strike out at the hands of Mets closer Edwin Diaz.

What recently happened is nothing but embarrassing for the Yankee left fielder Joey Gallo, a fan who owned a Yankee jersey number 13 was photographed seemingly blocking out Gallo’s name with painter’s tape. Written on the tape was “NOT GALLO.”

The Yankee fans has given their statement upon Joey Gallo as clearly, he needs to be somewhere else, the Yankee experiment for them has not worked. Trading him would sound like a better option as any other team wanting to capitalize on the Joey Gallo trade, would not cost much to bring him back.

Without a question outfielder Joey Gallo has had a struggling season with the New York Yankees. If we sum up his overall statistics, it would seem out of sorts in comparison to other New Yorkers. A very simple comparison here will indicate how Gallo has been strikeout-prone throughout the year. Joey Gallo has 37 hits this season on the other hand Aaron Judge has hit 38 home runs.

Probably Aaron Judge is a bigger fish to be compared to Joey Gallo, Oneil Cruz is a fresh out of the Minors player, in just 119 plate appearances entering Wednesday, playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates who stand 4th in the National League Central division, has 21 RBIs compared to Gallo’s 24. Oneil Cruz spent a large portion of his season in the minor league.

After this much hatred, Yankees manager Aaron Boone went out of his way to defend his left-fielder Joey Gallo, he said, “He’s a big part of the team and we want him to keep grinding through it,”
