Evan Russell

Earlier this month, Evan Russell had speculations about being absent in a game for Tennessee against Alabama State. Amidst all those speculations, Troy Eklund – the ESPN Broadcaster stunned the Baseball fans with a negative portrayal of Evan Russell’s image saying he failed the PED (performance enhancing drug) test.

Following that Evan Russell, in a recent interview, put forth the idea that he and his family might be looking in on the option to sue the Broadcasting Channel ESPN and the Broadcaster Troy Eklund. Troy not only accused him of taking PEDs but also went on to announce on a live broadcast that Evan Russell was probably going to be suspended for the season.

The claim turned out to be completely false, and Troy Eklund, the broadcaster involved did end up apologizing and setting the record straight. However, Evan Russell feels like the damage has already been done to his impression.

In a recent interview, Evan Russell said, “You know, it’s always going to be a blemish just because it was out there on national television that people can make an argument, even if for some reason I end up playing, you know, 10, 15 years from now with some success,”

Russell explained when talking about the false claim and suing ESPN, during an interview on “Tomi Lahren is Fearless.”  said, “I and my legal team are pursuing many options. In a sense, it’s to prevent it from happening again.”

Tomi Lahren also had a few words to say in support of Evan Russell after she read what Troy Eklund said, “Wow ESPN, you’re willing to put that kind of career-damaging speculation out there on a whim? Just Wow”

Evan Russell shared his feeling on the subject for the first time on Tomi Lahren’s show, saying, “A lot of people had felt since I had changed positions and learned a completely new position, I was the weakest part of the team. It was kinda the chance for other teams to take down a really good team, a really talented team. So, a lot of that pressure was really building up,”

Russell added. “You know, I didn’t handle it correctly of missing a game. I’ll have to live with the decision of running from the pressure and bailing on my teammates. I really think that it’s a good thing that we won the game after that because if I didn’t show I was able to play again there would be a lot of people that would still be convinced that I was suspended for PEDs.”
