Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Matt Strahm recently caught social media attention as viral images of him looking rather shocked or horrified circulated through X, gaining 7.5 million views. In a hilarious set of motion, fans started comparing him to popular actor Nicolas Cage.

Fans started comparing Cage’s persona of Cameron Poe from ‘Con Air’ to Phillies player Cage, both styling up with long hair. One X user noted, “Alt universe Nic Cage” while another noted, “No he looks like he is about to be the Spirit of Vengeance.”

Matt Strahm is currently signed up with the Phillies with a 2-year $15 million contract, with an annual average salary of $7.5 million. Prior to signing with the team, he played with the Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres, and Boston Red Sox.
