Freddie Freeman was named the National League Player of the Week recently, mind it, with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has had the attention of the media throughout the season, being traded by the Atlanta Braves, his agent screwing up his trade without informing him, from there, his journey to the All-Star 2022.

Freddie Freeman posted a .632 average (12-for-19) with two homers, four doubles, five RBIs and a 1.810 OPS last week. The first baseman entered the All-Star break with a .321/.397/.530 slash on the season, his first after he left the Atlanta Braves to sign a six-year, $162 million free-agent deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The trip to Braves stadium was shortly followed by an agency controversy, Freddie Freeman was reported by Doug Gottlieb that he was not given all of the Braves’ offers, despite the agency knowing how badly he wanted to return to Atlanta.

“It’s just nice to get recognized,” Freddie Freeman said. “You go out, play the game hard and play the game the right way, things go your way. It’s nice people actually notice, but my main concern is we’ve been playing better baseball. Hopefully I can continue playing like this and help us get more wins.”

Freddie Freeman had very emotional words upon the whole debate that emerged, “I’ve been here for three months, I’ve been through a lot. I think everyone knows that. If you were in a relationship for 15 years, and it ended, you’re going to have feelings.”

He added, “And I’ve had feelings. I’ve been going through this process of grieving and now I’m in the healing process and the moving on process. I think I told you guys I might not have been looking for closure over the weekend. It was special. But there needs to be closure. It’s time.”
