“Insane f**king concentration”- Jonah Heim displays insane head strength, catches an 86mph pitch right off his helmet
Jonah Heim's incredible catch
Texas Rangers’ catcher Jonah Heim did the unexpected in Monday night’s game against the Miami Marlins. He took an incredible catcher which left MLB in awe of his reflexes. When Rangers’ pitcher Jesus Tinoco pitched a ball to JJ Bleday, the outcome was a foul play by Bleday making the ball hit the mask of Jonah Hiem and fly up in the air.
But to our surprise, he managed to keep track of the ball, made an astonishing dive, and tackled it with his bare hands. “That’s a catch!” said the astonished umpire. “It’s just one of those things where I just let it happen,” Jonah Heim said. “It his my forehead, kind of got stung a little bit but I looked up and tried to make a play.”
This is how twitter reacted to Jonah Heim’s catch
Jonah Heim shows his worth as a rookie for the Rangers not only by not giving up after being hit in the forehead with the ball and still by maintaining his focus and catching the ball, therefore resulting in a strikeout. But also statistically in the game he has a slashing of .231/ .308/ .708 and 13 homers and 44 RBIs in 2022.
Even though the Miami Marlins won the match against the Texas Rangers 10-6, Jonah Heim won our hearts with his catch. “I have never seen a catcher make a play like this, full stop.” “This is a once in a lifetime catch if I’ve ever seen one. Maybe multiple lifetimes.”
The Texas Rangers will take on the Oakland Athletics in Arlington on Tuesday and carry on to play against the Tampa Bay Rays this weekend. The Rangers are currently 61-80 for the 2022 season. And are five games away from being eliminated.
