Juan Soto when asked about his jump from an unsatisfactory team to a MLB playoff contending team, “I’m more than excited to join a winning team and be part of it and try my best to push them as long as we can. It feels really nice, it feels really pumped to be here.

He added, “Like you said, to go from a team that has no chance to come all the way here, it’s a great feeling. It’s a new vibe, it’s a new start for me. This year, it’s just a new start, a new feeling to go out there to give more that I have.”

“For me right now, I just came in,” Soto concluded his press conference as he wished to head for his first swing practise as a Padre. “I’m just thinking about winning. I’m just coming to this clubhouse to bring the energy that I have.”
