“Hopefully, he comes and plays”: Juan Soto associated with a trade to the ‘Friars’ and the ‘Jays’

Juan Soto
Juan Soto is one of the top targets currently on the Major League Baseball trade market, the star outfielder recently declined a 15-year, $440 million offer from the Washington Nationals ahead of the league’s Aug. 2 trade deadline. Soto is a 23-year-old star who has already been to a couple of All-Star Games, also finished in the top-5 in MVP balloting twice and won a World Series.
It is believed that many of the teams who wish to compete for the title are looking to make offers suitable for the Nationals to release Juan Soto off his duties from the capital. Two teams, in particular, have emerged as the most likely candidates to land Soto ahead of the trade deadline.
According to ESPN’s baseball insider Buster Olney, as he said in the Thursday’s edition of ESPN’s Get Up, San Diego Padres and the Toronto Blue Jays are the two teams who have made offers to Juan Soto’s and Nationals’ liking.

Juan Soto has a lot of trade options to explore from, hasta la vista Nationals

“The expectation of rival executives is the Nationals are going to trade Soto,” Olney said. “The two most, I think, invested teams in this chase might turn out to be the San Diego Padres, who are a win-now team. How much fun would (Fernando) Tatís (Jr.) and Soto and (Manny) Machado be in their line-up? And the Toronto Blue Jays, who desperately need a left-handed hitter in the middle of that very right-handed line-up.”
Reports indicates that 7 teams have already pitched their offers to the Washington Nationals, Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) tweeted, “The Washington #Nats have begun fielding preliminary offers for Juan Soto, with seven teams already weighing in, including 3 in the NL West: #Mariners #Padres #SFGiants #Dodgers #STLCards #Yankees #Mets. The trade deadline is Aug. 2, but Nats will wait unless get the right deal.”
Another hypothetical Juan Soto trade proposal by San Fransisco Giants, according to Jon Morosi is, The Nationals Acquire SS Marco Luciano (1st), LHP Kyle Harrison (2nd), RHP Will Bednar (4th), OF Heliot Ramos (5th), RHP Randy Rodriguez (12th) and the SF Giants get the star Juan Soto.
The point being, wherever Juan Soto lands for the next step of his Major League career, we are looking ahead to one of the biggest moves in baseball this trade deadline.
