Juan Soto has probably been in the headlines for the past few weeks, his trade inquires have been changing after the Washington Nationals said they would be open to offers after Juan Soto rejected their offer worth $440 Million over the period of 15 years. Juan Soto did walk up to the diamond today just a day before the deadline.

For now, nobody other than the General Manager Mark Rizzo and the inner circle know where Juan Soto will land, but three teams have emerged as the most prominent options for the trade. Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres.

“I just want to get it over with and see what’s going to happen,” Juan Soto said following the Nationals’ 5-0 loss to the Cardinals. “I mean, just go over that day and start over here or wherever I’m at.”

“Just see the jersey you’re wearing,” Juan said. “You’re wearing the Nationals jersey. You’re here, and right now, I’m here and I’m a National. So, I just go out there as a professional, as a National, and I just play for them as hard as I can.”

St. Louis Cardinals is definitely in the mix to land Juan Soto before the trade deadline ends, as per sources, a behind the door conversation happened recently where Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo and Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak met, they were shown together on Sunday’s broadcast.

John Mozeliak recently commented on Soto to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, “I think what’s rare is the timing. We traded for Paul Goldschmidt. We traded for Nolan Arenado. But that’s the only thing about that player. Age.”

If we do focus on prospects, St, Louis Cardinals do have the strength to build upon the Soto trade. Their top 5 picks are in the Top 100 prospects list.
