Same as Kanye West, MLB’s superstar Alex Rodriguez once suffered a massive monetary loss by virtue of a MISTAKE
Kanye West and Alex Rodriguez
Kanye West has been pushed down by each company who had ties with him, the likes of Adidas, Balenciaga, Gap etc. wish to have no further relationship. Similarly, talking about downfalls, Alex Rodriguez also suffered an enormous cut in his net worth, costing him over $40 Million during his baseball career only due to a mistake.
Alex Rodriguez has been one of the most accomplished MLB play ers after retirement, he has been a part of various businesses earning hundreds of dollars. Recently, Rapper Kanye West made an antisemitic comment which terminated his major source of income, dropping his net worth to $400 million from a whopping $1.5 billion.
Although, Alex Rodriguez was not the player who lost a major chunk of his net worth, but he lost all his reputation and what could have been a legacy in the history of Major League Baseball.
He stated, “There’s so many frustrating things when you look back at that, Number one, you have a guaranteed contract for hundreds of millions of dollars. Literally, you can sit on the couch and get fat. Right? How stupid can you be?”
Unlike Kanye West, How did Alex Rodriguez turn his bad guy image into a successful career?
“This thing cost me over $40 million. And it cost me my reputation, and it may have cost me the Hall of Fame and a number of other things,” Alex Rodriguez remembered what his mistake made him loose. He turned his life around reaching to a whopping net worth of $400 Million and becoming one of the wealthiest sports personalities in American sports.
Such time does seem to be revolving anywhere around Kanye West soon, even shoe retailer Foot Locker said that they are “not be supporting any future Yeezy product drops, and we have instructed our retail operators to pull any existing product from our shelves and digital sites.”
Adidas issued a comment on Kanye West after his actions indicating that the relationship might never be considered again, “Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”
