“This is pathetic” – Fans react as LA Dodgers suffer CRUSHING 4-2 loss against D-Backs in NLDS Game 2
The Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in huge trouble as they suffer second consecutive loss at hands of Arizona D-Backs to fall 2-0 down in the NLDS.

After losing the first game by a huge scoreline, the Los Angeles Dodgers suffered another setback against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The National League West champions now find themselves on the brink of an early playoff elimination.
Finishing as the second-seed team, the Dodgers got a bye and reached the NLDS. Their opponents, the D-Backs would sweep the Miami Marlins in the wild card game and reach LA for the division series. They were labeled “underdogs” against a Dodger side which finished 16 games ahead of them in the division rankings. They though showed that all the rankings in the regular season go out to waste in the knockout phases.
After hammering away Clayton Kershaw in Game 1, the D-Backs started the second game in a similar fashion. Their bats would jump high on rookie starter Bobby Miller. A three-run first inning set the tone for the game. Nicknamed “The Snakes”, the visitors would bite on Miller and force him for an early shower in just the second inning.
Coach Dave Roberts seemed to have no answers for his side. A solo home run from J.D Martinez would see the deficit being reduced to 3-1. However, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. would extend the D-Backs lead once again. They would close out the game 4-2 and claim their fourth win on the road of this postseason as they fly high with momentum.
Social media bashes LA Dodgers for poor performance against D-Backs
The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the most popular franchises in baseball. Their success over the years has drawn a huge number of fans towards them. However, it seems to have become a recurring theme for them in the postseason. They would do exceptionally well in the regular season but somehow fail to replicate that form in the knockout phase.
This defeat has now put them against the wall. A potential sweep at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks could end another glorious season. The fans on Twitter (now called X) were unhappy with the team’s performances and called them out. One user wrote, “This is pathetic“. Check out that and other reactions below:
The Dodgers will now have to produce one of their best performances if they were to salvage their season. They though are not the only side who require a strong comeback to advance to the next rounds. Both ALDS series could also see a sweep. The National League side would be hoping to avoid joining them in these as they travel to Arizona for the third game of this crucial NLDS tie.
