  1. 1. Major League Baseball (AL East) – New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are having an amazing season, with their star Aaron Judge smashing league leading 42 home runs, they are favorites to take a trip to the World Series 2022. It is their World Series drought that would make them more desperate to pounce in on the August 2 deadline.

They have already acquired Andrew Benintendi in the outfield and are closing in on starter Luis Castillo, the New York Yankees are still in the market for pitching. Top prospects Anthony Volpe and Oswald Peraza could be acquired in the trade by the other team.

  • 2. Major League Baseball (NL East) – New York Mets

The New York Mets are waiting for their star Jacob deGrom to return back to the rotation, with that they would be one of the top-notch team going into October, but it would not be a surprise if they hit big as the deadline approaches.

Word is if Shohei Ohtani decides to go for a move, Mets would be one of the favorites to land him. If a trade other than Ohtani happens Mets would only look into moving their No. 1 prospect Francisco Álvarez.

  • 3. Major League Baseball (NL West) – San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres have been a team who goes for big trade moves, but their only three playoff games in the recent years show that they do not capitalize on those moves. They are one of the favourites to sign the superstar, Juan Soto.

But if not him, Ian Happ or Bryan Reynolds could be good options, Joey Gallo is also available and with rotation he could prove to be a turn around point for the Padres. San Diego has Gore, shortstop C.J. Abrams and outfielder Robert Hassell III, three premium young players who could form the backbone of a deal for Soto.
