The new season of the MLB has already crossed one-and-a-half months time. So far in the season, a few big names have been struggling to live up to the hype placed upon them. One of these teams is the San Diego Padres.

A team filled with superstars has been recording a string of poor results this season. The Padres have now been handed another blow as Manny Machado suffered a small fracture on his left hand.

The Padres star suffered this injury after he was struck on the hand by Brad Keller. They were facing the Kansas City Royals at that time. As per manager Bob Melvin, initial X-Ray reports have come out negative. However, the health physicians have recommended a CT Scan of the fracture to get accurate results.

Throughout the 40 games he has played this season, Machado has been batting with an average of .231. Another unwanted stat he finds himself in is leading in a number of double plays. He has hit a league-high nine double plays so far.

A injury to the hand is the last thing a batter requires when he is going through such a poor form. Such is his status of him, that many reporters have been looking for an answer from him. A video has now gone viral on social media in which Machado, who does not look to be a good mood, answers a few questions.

In recent years gone by, Machado has established himself as one of the best players in baseball. However a viral video on social media is now putting up questions regarding his attitude and conduct. In a video, a reporter is heard him asking about the status of his recent hand injury. This is supposed to have taken place after the Padres’ 4-3 loss to the Royals.

When asked about the ideal situation of his injury, Machado does not give a proper answer. He later shakes his head and mentions he has no idea about how severe his injury is and how long will it take to recover. A visibly fed-up Machado then asks the reporter about how would they feel if they suffered a similar situation.

Well, it’s not a big thing to get fed up but people expect professionals to behave in a good way. Machado did not abuse the reporter or gave any slang but he was clearly seen to be disappointed by the same questions.

This has not gone down well among several users though and they have slammed him for the way he handles the scene. Could he have done better there is up for debate. After their two straight losses to fellow strugglers Royals, the Padres are now 20-24 for the season.
