The dream for the Texas Rangers has gotten even closer. Following a close Game 3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, they dismantled the hosts 11-7 to get the victory in Game 4. The star of this show was Marcus Semien who collected 5 RBIs in an emphatic performance.

Following the loss of Adolis Garcia and Max Scherzer through injuries, the pressure was on the Rangers to deliver without their star players. The Cuban international had stolen the show in the postseason before and was breathing fire. However, he encountered some back problems and was out of the lineup because of it. Semien though made sure that his absence would not affect the team going forward.

The Rangers started the match in quick fashion and jumped early on the D-backs. A two-run RBI triple from Semien saw the visitors take an early 3-0 lead in the second inning after they opened the scoring on a wild pitch. Corey Seager then joined the party and launched a two-run home run to give them cruise control over the game.

Semien then decided to do one better and crushed a three-run bomb in the third inning to make it a 10-0 ballgame. This turned out to be his fifth RBI of the game. While the D-backs did rally back, the damage was already done.

"Yeah I think we are gonna come at you through 1 to 9 and we are gonna put some good together at-bats, so when we can do that and put together a good game plan and attack you as a team, we are pretty hard to beat".
Jonah Heim said as per Fox.

Texas Rangers standing on the brink of World Series glory following Game 4 triumph

Winning the championship is the ultimate goal of any professional team at the start of the season. After seven months of action, the MLB 2023 season could come to an end on Wednesday night. With their Game 4 triumph, the Texas Rangers stand on the verge of World Series glory.

In their 52 years of existence, the Rangers have never tasted World Series glory. They suffered back-to-back heartbreaks in 2010 and 2011 as they fell at the final hurdle. Now with them 3-1 up in the series, one more win from the remaining three games would get them over the line.

They have played with consistency throughout the season. Despite a slight hiccup at the end of the regular season, the Rangers kept on fighting. They now also have the chance to finish the postseason unbeaten on the road, having won their 10th successive away game last night.

For the D-backs, it is now or never. Another loss and their quest for a second World Series title will come to an end. There have been comebacks from 3-1 down though as the LA Dodgers came back to beat the Atlanta Braves 4-3 in the 2020 NLCS.

The last time a World Series saw this comeback was when the Chicago Cubs stunned the Cleveland Indians to beat them in Games 5, 6, and 7 in 2016. The D-backs will need something like this to overcome this obstacle now.
