“Double Tragedy” – Jays coach Mark Budzinski’s eldest daughter Julia passes away in a horrific boating accident

Toronto Blue Jays’ first-base coach, Mark Budzinski and his family is currently experiencing pain that no parent in the world deserves to go through. His eldest (17-year-old) daughter Julia was one of the two girls who died in separate boating accidents over the 4th of July weekend. She was struck by a boat propeller while tubing in a Virginia river.
The same news was confirmed by the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources that two teen girls were on a tube pulled by a boat in James River on July 2nd, Saturday. The two spoken-off children fell off the tube at one point. Subsequently, the boat was hit by a wave, causing it to come on top of one girl, believed to be Mark Budzinski’s eldest daughter, Julia.
Once they got the girls out of the water, the department’s personnel along with the victims rushed to the hospital. Where Julia was pronounced dead as per the statement given by the department. “Lifejackets were worn, no foul play is suspected, and alcohol was not a factor,” a department spokesperson said in a statement. “DWR sends their condolences to the friends and family during this unimaginable time.”

Boat operator arrested after Mark Budzinski’s eldest daughter dies for vehicular homicide
The 33-year-old operator of the boat, who is called David Crowe was arrested by the LDWF for vehicular homicide, operating or driving a vessel while impaired, and reckless operation of a vessel. As a result of his crime, he was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail and is currently out on a $101,000 bond.
“There was alcohol detected, where impairment is taken he was taken to another location where we put a breathalyzer on the 33-year-old driver,” said Sgt Jeff Lanoux of the LDWF.
Apart from Mark Budzinski’s eldest daughter, Julia, there was another teenage girl who was reported missing after this incident, Madison Bradley. The latter who was also reported to be 17 years old was a passenger on a pontoon boat with five other people. Agents said she was riding on the bow in front of the protective rail with a male passenger.
“It’s with a heavy heart to announce that the GAHS family is dealing with the (loss) of life of a student — Julia Budzinski,” Principal Reginald Davenport wrote on Twitter.
