Michael Harris II plays outfielder for the Atlanta Braves and in his debut season he is catching the eye of many with his performances with the bat, with the gloves and of course, his cannon arm in the outfield. After his Major League Baseball debut in May, Michael has scored 11 Home runs and 36 runs batted in with a batting average of .294.

Michael Harris II drilled a two-run home run to right field for his 11th homer of the season, gave the Atlanta Braves a 4-2 lead in the 8th inning.

Harris pulled a 1 2 fastball 364 feet to right field. The exit velocity on his 11th homer of the season was 111.2 mph, leading the visiting Atlanta Braves to a 4-3 win over the Miami Marlins on Friday night.

Another rising star, Michael Harris’s buddy, Vaughn Grissom played his second big league game on Friday night. The Braves’ No. 1 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, made his debut Wednesday vs. the Red Sox, becoming the youngest player in AL/NL history to homer and steal a base in a debut.

“There’s a lot of guys [on this team] that have played together in the Minors,” Michael Harris said. “So, there’s a lot of comfort in playing together and a lot of chemistry. … I feel I have that with [Grissom], hitting behind him and seeing him on base, just trying to do everything I can to drive him in. And that’s what I did.”

“I don’t know about him, but it’s definitely plenty of fun for me,” Vaughn Grissom said. “It was cool. Like I could just get on, and he could just do his job and do what he does. He’s great. We needed a run right there, and he (Michael Harris II) got us two. We’ve done this before, but not on this level. So, I’m glad to be finally getting a couple.”

Michael Harris added to his interview, “Growing up, I’ve always been in high-pressure situations, I’d rather have the big-time moment than just a regular situation. I kind of feed off of that type of energy in a game, and I’m the type of person that I kind of visualize something before it happens. That was one of the things that I visualized, bringing [Grissom] in and doing my job right there.”
