Tuesday night’s game against the Houston Astros left Mike Trout in total despair right before the All-Star start. Los Angeles Angels superstar suffered upper back spasms. A Mike Trout injury was the last thing the Angels need is their future Hall of Fame outfielder missing time.
According to MLB.com writer Rhett Bollinger, Mike Trout went for an MRI and a CT scan on his back. All thanks to the grace, none strain revealed itself causing a major issue for Trout. He hopes to make a dramatic return after what looked a serious injury, as per the sources, he will only need a couple days rest before being inserted back into the starting lineup.
Mike Trout also gave information upon how his back had been bothering him over the last week, has been interrupting his natural swing, but that it flared up worse Tuesday night. The outfielder is among the fantastic league leaders with 24 home runs this season.
Mike Trout and Angel’s Fans do not wish for him to have an Injury-League stint
Both the fans and Mike Trout expressed their feelings towards him being in the Injury List, they were not happy with their superstar not making an appearance in their next games and moreover missing out on the All-Star game. Probably with the All-Star game approaching, the Los Angeles Angels have great time to build themselves again.
Outfielder Shohei Ohtani is among the league leaders with 24 home runs this season. But the club did eventually fell apart. Los Angeles went on a 14-game losing streak that took them from first in the American League West division to fourth.
Rhett Bollinger tweeted, “Mike Trout said his back had been bothering him for the last week or week and a half but it flared up worse last night. But he said he doesn’t think he’ll need an IL stint and thinks he’ll be OK for the All-Star Game. Said he hopes to pinch-hit tonight.”
He even added, “Head trainer Mike Frostad said Trout underwent both an MRI exam and a CT scan on his back. No strain was revealed so they believe it’ll only be a couple days.”
