Evan Drellich’s upcoming book named “Winning Fixes Everything” the author has revealed that an unidentified source from Red Sox claims that the Los Angeles Dodgers were cheating during the 2018 World Series.
In the 2018 World Series, both teams Red Sox and Dodgers suspected that the opposite team is cheating and sign-stealing. Red Sox were playing against the Dodgers and MLB punished the Red Sox due to sign-stealing and fired the team’s video coordinator.
Evan Drellich’s shocking revelations in Winning Fixes Everything
The book includes some undisclosed details about the 2017 Word Series, in which Team Houston Astros was punished for sign-stealing, naming Alex Cole the mastermind behind it. The source said, Alex would occasionally talk about how they stole World Series especially when they start drinking with the team. Alex’s comment shocked some team members. Team Red Sox assumed that hiring Alex as their manager could harm the team’s credibility.
Evan Drellich writes, “The Dodgers have always been the thing that bothers me the most,” an unidentified member of the Red Sox told Drellich. “Because they’re the biggest cheaters in the whole [expletive] industry. … They were doing it against us in the ’18 World Series. They got caught by Major League Baseball and Major League Baseball did nothing.”
The Red Sox source also reveals to the author that Joc Pederson went to a video area where Chase Utley and a member of MLB officials were there. Pederson asked them if they noticed the sign-stealing tricks but officials dismissed Pederson and called him an “idiot“.
MLB did nothing just say, ‘Stop doing that, even after a clear sign-stealing by the Dodgers.’ Instead, MLB slammed J.T. Watkins who was a video coordinator for Red Sox and fired him for violations.
