In the same year, he made his Major League debut as part of the Gulf Coast Yankees of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League where he scored a 0-1 win-loss record. Under the Rule 5 Draft of 2017, the Baltimore Orioles selected Nestor and he began playing as their relief pitcher. Once again he returned to the Yankees in April 2018.
He went to attend the spring training as a non-roster player in 2019, but he did not make the team and was assigned to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In November 2019 he got traded to the Seattle Mariners, and in 2020 he gave up 13 runs over 72⁄3 innings pitched. He returned to the Yankees organization on December 20, 2020, and got promoted to the major leagues in 2021. On May 9th, 2022, he began in the Yankees starting rotation in a game with Texas Rangers.
