“Booing in the Bronx”: New York Yankees face another catastrophic defeat, booed and bad-mouthed by Fans

The New York Yankees were absolutely crushed by the Tampa Bay Rays in the score which only looks like 3-1 in the favor of Rays but felt like 13-1. Yanks before the All-Star break were looking on a smooth record-breaking pace but it did not take long for the boo birds to come out at Yankee Stadium.

On Tuesday, the fans believed to have seen enough from their team and as soon as Josh Donaldson weakly grounded out to the pitcher in the bottom of the 4th, The New York Yankees’ fans booed louder than ever. Yanks have fallen behind the Houston Astros for the best record in the American League.

As a matter of fact, since July 9, New York Yankees are 11-22, their .333 winning percentage during that stretch coming in as the third lowest in the Majors in front of only the Tigers and Nationals.

“No one in here is happy about it,” New York Yankees star slugger Aaron Judge expressed. “Having a little bit of a cushion helps, but that cushion can dwindle quick, so we’ve got to stay on top of it.”

The Yankees have only been able to score 1 run out of the last 27 innings they have played, “You’re surprised based on the type of guys we have and the type of guys filling those roles while some of our big bats are out,” added Judge.

Aaron Judge was referring to the absence of Giancarlo Stanton, DJ LeMahieu and Matt Carpenter. “We just haven’t been able to get that big hit with guys on base. We can’t mope about it; we’ve got to go out there and score.”

“We’re all frustrated, but you can’t let the frustration get in your way of preparing and getting ready to go every night,” New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “We’ve got a few guys that are in a rut. We’ve got to prepare and get ready and fight our way out of it. It’s part of it. It’s no fun when you’re going through it, but that’s where we are right now.”
