The New York Yankees are missing a couple of key players, which is easy to overlook in the midst of their incredible season. Giancarlo Stanton, Zack Britton, and Luis Severino have all been out with injuries recently. Their absence hasn’t hurt their record yet, but the team would prefer to have these three back as soon as possible. As a result, the Yankees fanbase will undoubtedly rejoice upon hearing these updates on their injured stars.
The three men’s return couldn’t have come at a better time for the New York Yankees. They’ve been gradually losing form over the last few days, dropping a couple of games to teams they should easily beat. Having these three players back will help them maintain their lead in the brutal AL East division.

The three musketeers of New York Yankees are back
First and foremost, Zack Britton. After undergoing Tommy John surgery in September of last year, the reliever has not played in a game since. A setback in May of this year pushed back his return even further. Britton appears to be healthy enough to face batters for the first time since his injury. Luis Severino, another star pitcher for the Yankees, is up next. Due to a strained muscle, the lefty starter has been out since mid-July.
According to recent reports, Severino will begin a throwing programme soon. Finally, we have Giancarlo Stanton. Stanton, one of the Yankees’ best bats, has been out for more than a week due to Achilles tendonitis. It’s a dangerous injury, to be sure, and the team has taken extra precautions to ensure his recovery. Now, it appears that Stanton will resume baseball activities, which is great news for the pinstripes.
