“Trying to blind the opposing pitcher”: Nick Castellano’s son helps dad by blinding the pitcher

On Wednesday afternoon, the Philadelphia Phillies hosted the Miami Marlins, and naturally Nick Castellanos’ son, Liam Castellano had seats to cherish which made him want to help his dad. The shrewd kid used them for all they were worth, holding up a foil baseball card and trying to shine a glare into the opposing pitcher’s eyes like a bewildered champion.

Such things do keep happening in baseball and there is always a said call on that particular back, but this one had no response to it. Many would see this as an act that does not claim moral high ground but the Twitter actions are only looking at it as a joke.

Trying to blind the pitcher when your dad is on the home plate, is it being a good son? This is only turning out to be a meme in itself. “Yo Castellanos’ kid was trying to shine the reflection of his baseball card into the pitcher’s eyes I’m crying.”

Its the parent’s duty to have their child’s back, but on Wednesday, Liam Castellano, Nick Castellano’s son was trying to be there for his father. He has always been there by the side of his father, cheering him up, and encouraging him with his loud cheering. Even Nick Castellano always keeps an eye on his son and his cry-outs.

The Broadcaster said while the camera showed Nick Castellano’s son blinding pitcher act, “Well, I never. Nick Castellano’s son is holding up … is that a baseball card? My goodness, he’s trying to blind the opposing pitcher. Never in my 17 years of broadcasting Major League Baseball have I seen something like this and I want you to know at home that I pride myself and think of myself as a man of faith, as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that’ll be a home run.”
