Nicky Lopez said, “It’s not my job to tell people what they can or can’t put in their body and what they do with their body. That’s never been me. That’s not going to be me. I respect their decision. I’m going to have to respect their decision. I respect anybody else’s decision of what they put in their body. With that being said, it’s a good time for the fans to look at it, like, ‘Hey, this is a glimpse at the future.”

He even added, with respect to the young guns in the team, “You get to see some of the young guys who will be part of the future. For me, having probably the most service time as a regular position player, which is kind of crazy, it’s a good opportunity for me to jump in the leadership role for a couple of days.”

Because know, as a young player, sometimes it’s hard to ask a veteran.”

Nicky Lopez added, “When I made my debut, I asked Alex Gordon, who was a 12-year vet. Now, these guys get a chance to ask me any questions. So, I’m excited to lead for these next four days.”
