“Ill-advised blunder ’14”: Pablo Sandoval, baseball’s kung fu panda felt remorseful after signing with Red Sox
Pablo Sandoval
Pablo Sandoval recently shared that his thoughts were in alignment with the Boston red Sox fans when he signed for them in 2014, they both did not want him to step foot on the base for the Red Sox. Sandoval made his MLB debut for the San Fransisco Giants in 2008 and had a hand in three World Series titles for the team in 2010, 2012, and 2014.
Pablo Sandoval achieved the biggest feat of his life with the San Fransisco Giants, made two All-Star teams in San Francisco and was the World Series MVP in 2012. But then he inked a five-year, $90 million deal with the Red Sox in 2014.
He slashed .245/.292/.366 with 10 home runs over 126 games in 2015. With just 35 games in his final two seasons before the Red Sox released him, Pablo Sandoval knew he made a blunder with the judgement of his decision dated back to 2014.
Pablo Sandoval regrets the decision he made in his prime time
In a recent interview with GQ’s Joseph Bien-Kahn, Sandoval, who now plays for the Olmecas de Tabasco of the Mexican League, expresses his regret for signing with the Red Sox over the San Fransisco Giants in free agency. “I should have stayed. I know. I learned my lesson,” Pablo Sandoval said. “But I’m happy I went through it, man, because I kept my eyes open and learned a lot of things.”
“We make mistakes. We can make errors. And you know, it’s part of the game,” Pablo Sandoval said. “But fans don’t realize that we are human beings. We got lifestyle. We have problems, too. We have off-the-field things. And they don’t understand that.”

The downfall for Pablo Sandoval started when he joined Boston Red Sox. He eventually returned to the San Fransisco Giants but he was not the same player he was when he left. He stayed with the Giants for four more seasons from 2017 to 2020.
These days, Sandoval is still playing in the Mexican League and recently went viral for squashing an unfortunate catcher. Therefore, we can probably say that everything worked out just fine for the Kung Fu Panda.
