The New York Yankees and The Minnesota Twins had to hold on to the tip of their chairs in their Thursday game. Carlos Correa and the Twins snapped their losing streak in the Bronx, they lost the last 10 matches that they played and the energy they got by the boos in the Bronx charged them up to take on prominent contenders for 2022 WS.

“I’m not going to lie to you. There is an extra motivation when I play on such a big stage like Yankee Stadium,” Carlos Correa said. “The Yankees fans are in the game at every single moment. There’s a little more adrenaline, a little more focus, a little more hunger to just win games. The fans here, not only bring the best to their home players, but they also bring the best out of the away players.”

Carlos Correa added, “[My signature moment will come] when we make the playoffs, that’s what I strive for. I don’t look at individual accomplishments at any of that stuff. I look at the ultimate goal and that’s where you are standing when October comes. That’s our focus right now. We still have a chance to win the division.”
