It’s not a shocking revelation, given that recent reports indicated the Red Sox were unlikely to make Bogaerts available. CEO Sam Kennedy and CBO Chaim Bloom have both publicly stated that there has been no internal discussion of trading the four-time All-Star, with Bloom adding that they “don’t plan to.” The fact that they appear to have reinforced those sentiments in private with Bogaerts appears to solidify his decision not to switch teams before next Tuesday’s deadline. It appears as if the Red Sox are ready to get down to business with their four-time All-Star.
