Ronald Acuna Jr. and Shohei Ohtani thank everyone for their continued support of career

While Shohei Ohtani gave a warm speech to thank both his past and present organizations, family, friends, and fans, Ronald Acuna Jr. chose a different way of approach. While thanking everyone for supporting him in his MLB journey, he also sent a warning message to his opponents.

I’m just getting started,” Acuna Jr. said. The MLB community celebrated as the Braves outfielder became the 1st player in AL/NL history to hit at least 40 homeruns and steal at least 70 bases in the same season.

Ohtani on the other hand, thanked his former organization (LA Angels) for continued support for six years. He further thanked the LA Dodgers for “believing” in him and penning a $700 million contract. “I am looking forward to this next phase in my career,” the Japanese star stated.

Dusty Baker praised Ohtani stating, “He’s one of the most talented players I’ve ever seen.” Last season, Ohtani led the MLB in wins above replacement with 10.1. Both Ohtani and Acuna Jr. will face off on May 3rd when the Braves head to LA. This matchup will surely be one of the most anticipated ones, as two MVP stars share the same field.
