There seems to be no stopping Ronald Acuna Jr. this season. The Atlanta Braves man continues to dominate the MLB this season while breaking multiple records in the process. On Friday, Acuna Jr. once again showed off his incredible skills and scripted another piece of history. He has now become the first player to reach the 40-60 club.

The 40-60 club indicates the number of home runs and stolen bases in the season. While Acuna Jr. has taken full advantage of his pace and the new base rule, he has also shown off his power by slamming the ball into the bleachers. The Venezuelan international has also become just the fifth player to reach the 40-40 club in the MLB.

The milestone moment came early in the first inning of the game. He connected a ball well off Washington Nationals starting pitcher Patrick Corbin. This turned out to be his 34th career leadoff home run, giving the Braves an upper hand earlier in the game. Acuna Jr. now joins an elite list of Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, and Alfonso Soriano to enter the 40-40 club.

The team has endured a losing streak as of late. However, coach Brian Snitker was not worried about it. This home run from him helped the Braves go on to win the game 9-6 to claim their 99th win of the season. One more victory would see them become the first team to cross the 100-win mark.
