Sandy Koufax was recently one of the players that honoured Vin Scully. The entire of the sports world came together to pay a heartfelt tribute to legendary VinScully after he sadly passed away recently at the age of 94. Scully began broadcasting for the Brooklyn Dodgers all the way back in 1950, and he has since then created a legacy that will be unforgettable for decades to come.

His 67 year career has become the longest-tenured broadcaster with one team in professional sports history. Scully developed close and cherished memories with several players- including Koufax. Vin Scully, well there’s a lot of talk these days about the greatest of all-time,” Koufax said at his statue unveiling in June according to Dodger Blue.

The Dodgers are celebrating Scully’s life with a beautiful pregame ceremony, and will be wearing a patch on their shirts for 2022 in his memory. “GOAT used to be a bad thing, now it’s greatest of all-time. Well, that’s the end of the discussion. Vin Scully is the greatest of all-time. Period. No discussion,” said Koufax very clearly.

The second annual MLB Field of Dreams Game returned to the well known site in Dyersville, Iowa, as the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds went head to head against each other. However, the Dodgers were involved to celebrate Scully and his memory, which lives on with the forever.
