“Deserves the best contract” Shohei Ohtani secures mammoth one-year $30 Million contract

The 28-year-old two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani has simply been sensational in the 2022 MLB sensation which has made modern-day MLB fans go bonkers over his scoring prowess. The Los Angeles Angeles have already made their mark on who is going to lead their unit next season but have officially got the work done on Saturday.
Shohei Ohtani went into sign a 1-year $30 Million contract. Safe to say this the agreement bypasses the arbitration process. For those who are not aware, this is the largest contract ever awarded in arbitration. Previously was a $27 million deal for Mookie Betts in 2020 as a member of the Boston Red Sox.
That being said, he was traded to the Dodgers in just over a month’s time. Moreover when the 2023 market is open, there are surely going to be top teams fighting to lure Shohei Ohtani to their base camp at perhaps the best, if not more, price tags.

The reigning MVP has thrived in both roles on the field. To talk about Shohei Ohtani’s excellence, he is batting .276 with an .888 OPS to go along with 34 home runs and 94 RBIs this season. After posting a tally of staggering .257/.965 last season with 46 home runs and 100 RBIs. Resulting in him being unanimously being named the MVP.
Lastly to discuss the excellence of Shohei Ohtani as a pitcher – he is 15-8 with a 2.35 ERA in 27 starts this season and has 213 strikeouts in 161 innings. Ohtani also has only continued to deliver as the season has progressed, with a 2.31 ERA in 12 second-half starts. While taking a no-hitter into the eighth inning Thursday against the Oakland Athletics.
