The Texas Rangers have impressed so far. They would be hoping to continue this form knowing the Houston Astros are just few games behind them.

The Texas Rangers are in a blistering run of form this season. In their first 33 games, they have a record of 20-13 and sit top of the AL West standings. This has been due to their red-hot offense. Their latest victims were the Los Angeles Angels. The Rangers ran riot and demolished them 16-8 on Sunday. As a result of this, the team created a new franchise record of scoring 221 runs in their first 33 games of the season. This margin is also the most by an MLB team since 2000.
In their recent outing against the Angels, Leody Tavares managed a career-high four-hit game. Meanwhile, Adolis Garcia slammed his team-leading ninth home run of the season as they took the series. This was the third time this season that the Texas Rangers had put up at least 16 runs on the board. The rest of the teams have accomplished this feat just four times, signaling the offensive power the Rangers have.
Following their series opener loss to the Angels, the Rangers managed to score 26 runs in their next two games. Manager Bruce Bochy mentions good discipline as a cause for this strong offensive showing. “It’s a good offense. Power and good discipline. You get to the bottom of the line-up and Leo (Taveras) hitting over .300, so it’s a lineup that is tough to navigate through,” he said.

Are Texas Rangers a team to watch out for this season?
The 2023 season of the MLB has shaped up interestingly so far. Some big names like the New York Yankees, the New York Mets, and St Louis Cardinals are struggling. On the other hand, teams like Pittsburgh Pirates and the Tampa Bay Rays have taken everyone by surprise. Could the Texas Rangers be a team to watch out for this season, considering their lineup and the potential they have?
Most of their batting line-up is hitting over .250 this season while slamming 46 home runs as well. Their starting pitcher duo of Nathan Eovaldi and Martin Perez have recorded four wins each. While Jacob DeGrom, who is currently on the 15-day injured list, has the lowest ERA of 2.67 in the rotation. Such an all-round performance from the team has raised the expectations of fans around the country.
Their next two assignments see them taking on a three-game series against AL West rivals Seattle Mariners. Following that, they will take on the Oakland Athletics in a four-game series. Considering the form they are in with good momentum on their side, they could go on sweep both of them. If they manage to do so, then they will surely strengthen their play-offs chances so early this season.
