The MLB community on Thursday once again came face to face with Trevor Bauer. The former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher appeared on the Newsroom America segment of Fox News and spoke about his life after the allegations of the sexual assault. He has now dropped a bold statement and claimed he is easily a ‘top 15 pitcher‘ in the world.

This comes after he admitted his mistakes and pleaded with the MLB for a second opportunity on Thursday. The 32-year-old who last appeared in the MLB in 2021 still believes is one of the top pitchers of the game.

Whether Bauer will make a return to the big league in America is uncertain, some want him back. Recently, his former teammate Mookie Betts called him an “awesome guy” and hoped that teams signed him.

Speaking at Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata show Bauer said:

I think I’m one of the best pitchers in the world. Going to Japan last year, had a really good year, set some new personal highs in velocity... I think, talent-wise, I deserve to play in the MLB. Obviously, there’s outside circumstances, so hopefully I’ll get a second chance, but I definitely expect to be playing.

Fans troll Trevor Bauer for his audacious claim on social media

Ever since the news of an alleged sexual assault by Trevor Bauer broke out, the fans had turned their backs on him. The pitcher has been brutally trolled on several occasions. Last year, he was slammed by the fans for using his sword celebration in Japan.

The fans have once again not spared him. The 32-year-old’s claim of being one of the top pitchers in the world and being at least a top 15 pitcher in MLB has not gone down well with the fans.

While the debate regarding this statement of Bauer continues, there was a time when he was viewed as an ace. The southpaw was part of the Cleveland Indians (now called Guardians) rotation along with Corey Kluber and a young Shane Bieber.

Before joining the LA Dodgers in 2021, the southpaw spent one season at the Cincinnati Reds. During the COVID-shortened season in 2020, Bauer was named the National League Cy Young Award winner, so he does have the required experience to back his statement.
