“Needs his head examined” – MLB Twitter TROLLS analyst Bo Porter for proposing blockbuster trade regarding LA Angels star Shohei Ohtani
MLB network analyst Bo Porter added that this sensational trade move will go in vain if the NY Mets fail to reach the postseason. The Angels have however denied all such reports of Ohtani's exit in the middle of the season.

With the MLB season reaching its halfway stage, the talks of trades and deadlines have picked up. While several teams continue to acquire players and let some go, the big teams have largely stayed quiet. One name that is likely to dominate this headline is Shohei Ohtani. The Los Angeles superstar will be heading to the free agency after the season. To avoid losing him for zero cost, MLB Network analyst Bo Porter proposed a rather surprising trade deal.
In a stunning trade that involves around a dozen players, Porter states how the New York Mets could acquire Ohtani. He listed him along with Anthony Rendon, Hunter Renfroe, and Chris Devenski to the New York-based side. In return, the Angels would receive eight players including the likes of Eduardo Escobar and Starling Marte.
Shohei Ohtani has continued to leave an impression on everyone ever since his debut. The two-way Japanese star is regarded as one of the best players in baseball right now. To say Porter will not be mocked is an understatement. Though the Angles do face a situation of losing their superstar for free, they can try to re-sign in the offseason.
The talks of acquiring Ohtani have been going on for a while now. Apart from the Mets, an interest from LA Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and NY Yankees is also there. His next contract is believed to be somewhere between $500-$600 million. However, it is likely that Porter’s “potential trade” will not be looked at by the Angels.
Shohei Ohtani unlikely to leave LA Angels this summer
The speculation regarding Ohtani’s next team is surely going to carry on for long. The LA Angels have continously denied reports and claimed that the Japanese star will not be leaving the team midseason. This is also the fact that the Angles are finally in the postseason picture. A potential postseason appearance with the Angels in the knockout stages is something he does not want to rule out.
The team is currently 41-36, just half a game back from Houston Astros in second place. This has led to fans believing that the Angels could make a postseason run. If they do so it will be their first such run with both superstars Ohtani and Mike Trout. With the Mets currently struggling in the NL East division, it is highly unlikely for Ohtani to move there this summer.
Speaking of Ohtani, he is playing just the way he knows. In the Angels’ recent game against the Colorado Rockies, he smashed his 25th home run. He is currently leading this criterion of hitters. Whereas in his 15 starts as a pitcher, he has a 6-3 record with an ERA of 3.13 and 117 strikeouts. For this performance, he was the first name revealed to be part of the upcoming All-Star game in July.
