Herschel Walker, the former NFL running back is currently running for the 2022 United States Senate election in Georgia. The Republican nominee was shown support by Charles B. Johnson, who’s the owner of San Francisco Giants, a Major League Baseball team.
The 2-time All-Pro NFL Athlete has received endorsements from plenty right-wing figures including former President Donald Trump, former California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Sen. Ted Cruz.
According to sfgate.com, the Giants owner has made plenty donations to Walker’s campaign but recently he donated $100K. Herschel Walker is involved in a tight race with Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock and as per FiveThirtyEight, Walker is ahead by 1%.
San Fransisco Giants’ Johnson at first maxed out an individual donation to Herschel Walker back in September 2021, following that, he donated a whopping $100,000 twice in a month to 34N22. Safe to say, Walker has had Johnson by his side throughout the 2021-2022 election cycle.
Herschel Walker calls ‘ELECTION’, an ‘ERECTION’, Live on Fox News
During an interview alongside Senate Ted Cruz and Senate Lindsey Graham, Herschel Walker could not hold back his thoughts, “This election is about more than Herschel Walker. This erection is about the people,” The Republican nominee said during a Tuesday appearance on Fox News. He probably wanted to say election again but messed up the pronunciation.
Social media could not contain their words and tweets started flooding over the ex-NFL player’s mistake, “Walker is now a schlong-shot at best,” tweeted sports commentator Keith Olbermann. “If Herschel loses, will he say his erection was stolen?” tweeted liberal commentator Ron Filipkowski.
Herschel is often seen slurring and going off-topics during campaign speeches, this month, he ranted about werewolves and vampires, “I don’t know if you know, but vampires are some cool people, are they not?” Walker said. “But let me tell you something that I found out: A werewolf can kill a vampire. Did you know that? I never knew that.”
