The Los Angeles Dodgers are undoubtedly among the top contenders for yet another spot in the World Series. However, manager Dave Roberts believes his team holds pole position to clinch the 2022 edition title, given some conditions!

The Japanese-American baseball manager recently marked his presence at the “The Dan Patrick Show” on Thursday with a ton of confidence. When asked to fill in the blank. “The Dodgers will win the 2022 World Series if…” the host began.

Roberts quickly replied with a brief pause: “We play a full season, and there is a postseason.”

Reacting to this, Patrick jumped in, trying to clarify: “Wait …”

But Roberts, who looked quote with his answers continued, emphatically: “We are winning the World Series in 2022. But I know where you’re going with that. We are winning the World Series this year. Put it on record.” The 49-year-old even reiterated his stance when Patrick yet again asked.

“I believe in this organization, we’ve got to finish it this year”

Dave Roberts went on to show his 100 per cent on the Dodgers at the Salt River Fields.

“It’d be crazy not to,” Roberts said on. “I believe in this organization. I believe we are going to put ourselves in that position, and we’ve got to finish it this year.”

“We are winning the World Series,” Roberts said. “That’s our focus. That’s our goal.”

Roberts then circled back on Patrick’s original question, saying: “We are winning the World Series if our starting staff stays healthy. I know that’s vague. That’s my answer. You can dig in a little bit on that, but I think it’s about our starting pitching, keeping our guys healthy.”

In the end, the host asked one more time: “So you’re guaranteeing that you’re going to win the World Series this year?”
As expected, Roberts didn’t waver: “I’m putting it out there. I’m putting it in the universe.”
