“Wait 30 years just to be petty” – Fast-food giants Wendy’s roasts Kansas City Royals

Wendy's and Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals have been failing to reach the top positions in Major League Baseball (MLB) for several years now. The Blue Crew clinched the World Series title twice which was last secured in 2015. Before this, they won back in 1985, which means a shocking 30-year gap between both their wins.

On this, many rival team fans roast them and meanwhile, the famous American fast-food venture, Wendy’s also took a dig at them for their poor run. They roasted the Kansas team on the occasion of ‘National Roast Day’ via the popular social media platform, Twitter.

Wendy’s tweeted: “It’s #NationalRoastDay™

Gotta do something with all this salt.”

The official Twitter handle of the Kansas City Royal replied: “Roast us, atWendys.”

“Thinking about making you wait 30 years just to be petty. #NationalRoastDay,” the food company destroyed the MLB team.

However, this didn’t go well with the Royals’ fans as one of the users wrote on Twitter:

“With how long it takes you to be done with a fast-food line I could’ve seen them win 2 World Series but you made me miss the 2014 World Series and we lost thanks a lot spent 45 min in a fast food line there.”

Wendy’s continues burning the Twitterverse

Apart from the Kansas City team, the Twitter handles of many popular brands invited themselves to get roasted. Here are some of the top conversations:
